Lowe’s home improvement expert, Mike Kraft, shares the best ways to maintain the health of your lawn. In Part 4 of this lawn care series, learn the tricks to proper lawn watering. Creating waterwise landscapes and installing automatic sprinklers are two ways to make watering easier. But, you can also try fan or oscillating hose sprinklers. Use rain guages and water timers to help adjust how much you should be watering. Typically, it is best to provide one inch of water once per week. Also, make sure to water the lawn in the morning to avoid lawn diseases. To find the rest of the lawn care and maintenance videos, visit www.Lowes.com
Toyota Lawnmower Recall
Toyota Lawnmower Recall
Remote Control Lawn Mower
The cutting blade is from an old fashioned scissor action push mower. It has been fitted with a chain driven electric motor and sprocket. The radio and receiver are torn from a small, cheap RC car from walmart and beefed up with Darlington transistors and 30A automotive relays. The rear wheels are separately powered by two electric motors geared down 20:1 to produce enough torque to climb a tree. The vehicle tips the scale at 100 lbs. Power is not an issue, traction is! Two 12v 17ah lead acid gel cells in series power this vehicle for well over an hour even with tall grass! I would love to adapt this thing to read and follow a GPS or a sensor array in the ground.
Lawn Mower Powered Bicycle
calpusengineering.webs.com I took an old school bicycle and modified it to hold an engine. I took a two-cycle lawn mower engine and rotated the carb to make the shaft horizontal. Then I used a belt pulley for a manual clutch. The pulley goes to the normal bike chain which makes it a 7-speed! I can only get it up to fourth gear then the chain falls off, but thats around 50mph, fast enough for me on a bike. This thing runs really well its really fun to drive. I was a junior in high school when i finished this.

GopherHaul 36 – Overcoming lawn care business owner newbie syndrome.
www.gopherforum.com Back in the days when you were starting your lawn care business, did you encounter the Why would I hire you if youre so new? dilemma? Id like to have some way of spinning that question into a positive if and when that should arise. Thats the question asked to us by Scott, a new lawn care business owner on the Gopher Lawn Care Business Forum. Without a doubt some lawn care customers, if they sense you are new, will try and screw with you. They will try and push you around on a lot of things such as price and how much work they want you to do. Just be wary of this. How do you spin it? Well I would say two things off the top of my head. Reliability and affordability. You would be amazed at how many start up lawn care businesses are just not reliable. Show them you are reliable and you will win their trust. Believe in yourself. You can do this. Andy shared that he never had a lawn care customer ask. The key to starting out is to look and act big. If you do this, you will actually believe you are big and everything will fall into place. It does take some cash to get there however it pays off big time to have professional looking shirts & pants as well as lettered vehicles and trailers. If something needs a little paint to look great then personally we do it. All the equipment is washed at the end of the day, no exception, even the mowers, they always look new and clients like that. Keith added I think everyones been in that situation. Many newbie lawn care …
